About us

Alethea Allen

Alethea lives in Louisville, Ky. with her husband, who also has albinism, and their three children. When she’s not writing she enjoys crocheting, traveling and is a huge fan of cozy video games. Alethea has a love of Marvel and is always down to delve into fan theories. Her goal with each book she writes she can bring a better understanding of albinism to those around her.

Amanda Papoon

With a solid foundation as a traditional artist working primarily in acrylic paint, Amanda Papoon began blending her paintings with digital imagery and in the process stumbled upon her unique artistic style. Hailing from Akron, Ohio, Amanda has been focusing on honing her skills as a tattoo artist for the past several years. She’s melded these passions of digital, traditional and tattoo mediums together by being a regular credited contributor for international tattoo art publication, Skin and Ink magazine. Amanda prides herself on challenging the boundaries of viewing the world by utilizing weightlessness to tell her art stories.

My hope is to reach this generation of children with and without albinism. To teach them about the condition, learn about acceptance of others, advocating for themselves and understanding the true meaning of awareness.

From Alethea

I want to put an end to hurtful talk, complete misconceptions and turning a blind eye to the condition of albinism.

To give parents of albino children new and different realities, hope for an amazing future and conversations that can be had with their children, family and friends.
